Tiki Tiki Luau – Things to Know
Who can attend? Anyone and everyone over the age of 21 is welcome. Every guest must have a paid reservation.
What are the hours for the event? 6:00-11:00pm
We’re new to the school this year. We don’t know many people. Should we attend? Yes; this is a fun evening with lots of do. The open bars and the food station lend themselves to guests circulating and moving about the room in a festive atmosphere. At a minimum we encourage you to attend and have a few drinks and a fabulous meal.
Spouse not interested in attending? No date? Come with friends.
What should I wear? Almost anything goes - sundresses, resort wear, sandals, shorts & Hawaiian shirts. Pre-order a live orchid lei with your reservation! Because this event is located on turf, we do recommend that ladies NOT wear heels. There will be a wood dance floor.
Where should I park? Parking is free. Please park in the lower parking lot adjacent to the parish hall. The entrance to the event is through the tent on the field
How do I pay for my reservation? Tickets are only available in advance. Please purchase on the Admissions, Sponsorships & Donations Page. Remember to pre-order your lei there.
What is there to do at the gala? There are silent auction items at all price points; entertainment that compliments the theme; raffles and a grab bag; a silent auction to participate in with bidding on mobile devices (cell phones & ipads); photo ops with themed decor; open bar; full dinner buffet
What happens if I win something in the auction? How do I pay for my purchases? Please pre-register either when you purchase your tickets or when you arrive. Purchases you make during the evening will automatically be charged to your cc (the information is kept on file until the event is over. It is then deleted for your security).
Purchases (either merchandise or certificates) are taken home at the end of the night. Items such as tickets or ticket vouchers, gift cards, etc. are available from gala personnel at check-out time.
Are my purchases or donation tax deductible? Cash donations are tax deductible. All or part of the value of items that are purchased may be tax deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor. Saint Peter’s federal tax id # is: 52-0684-276.
What if I’m a volunteer? Do I need a ticket? Yes, everyone who attends the event needs a ticket.
Who can I contact for more information? The event chair is: Marsha Riggio, marshariggio@yahoo.com.
Many volunteers are needed to make this event a success AND it’s lots of fun to participate. Please contact Marsha if you would like to help with planning the party, set-up the day before and day of the event, and clean up the day after the event. Your hours will count towards your family’s 15 hours school service hours requirement.
